Anton Kui Sing Cheng
Dr. Anton Cheng Kui-Sing is a distinguished surgeon with over three decades of expertise in general and bariatric surgery. A graduate of the University of Hong Kong with an MBBS, Dr. Cheng completed his postgraduate training in General Surgery in New Zealand, earning fellowships from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd).

Dr. Cheng has practiced as a consultant surgeon across New Zealand, Malaysia, and Singapore, gaining proficiency in a broad spectrum of surgical procedures, including pioneering minimally invasive and bariatric surgeries. He introduced key techniques like Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy to Singapore and has led surgical workshops across the globe.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Cheng has a long history of humanitarian service. Over the past 30 years, he has participated in numerous medical missions to underserved and disaster-stricken regions, including post-tsunami trauma care in 2004. 

Currently a Visiting Consultant at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Dr. Cheng continues to inspire through his contributions to research, education, and global health. Having been part of the Antarctic Expedition team for ACE 2023 he hopes to compliment that experience by being part of BIGACE2025 and continuing to support to support the educational activities associated with that expedition.
