Benita Kiat Tee Tan
She champions the Sengkang Green Committee started in 2018 and has led a group of passionate colleagues in numerous initiatives to decrease the carbon footprint in the hospital as well as running activities to increase the awareness and to encourage colleagues to improve habits to reduce waste and the carbon footprint among colleagues, as well as extending this to the community around the hospital.
She is active in healthcare research and education, and is Associate Professor in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Medical School and a clinical teacher in Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. Benita also volunteers regularly in medical missions with good friends, travelling to rural areas of Philippines, Maldives, Indonesia including Ladakh, India, learning about the environment and way of life of people in these areas and providing medical assistance.
