Hillary Yifei O'Sullivan
Hillary is a young pianist from Singapore who began her musical journey at 3 years old. A 12-time award-winning classical pianist, she recently received the prestigious Best Classical Award and the Gold Award at the WPTA International Competition 2024.

Passionate about music and eager to share classical piano with children, Hillary has performed in open-air concerts on remote islands, connecting with young audiences and their families. Notable performances include a solo recital titled “Piano by the Sea” in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, at age 7, and a special recital on the sandbank of Fenfushi Island in the Maldives in 2019. Additionally, she has participated in several prominent musical events, including performances at Singapore’s iconic Esplanade Theatre.

In 2023, Hillary was invited to join the Antarctic Climate Expedition as the youngest Key Opinion Ambassador. During this journey, she played a significant role in conveying the urgent message of climate change through music, including a performing a special composition titled “Rhapsody of a Changing Antarctic.”

Her dedication to using music as a voice for environmental issues captured the attention of the Royal Highland Festival in Bhutan. In October 2023, she had the honour of performing “Rhapsody” in the presence of the King of Bhutan at a remote highland village located 4,000 meters above sea level. Her experiences were documented in a short film titled “The Girl and Her Piano,” which explores her thoughts on the pressing challenge of climate change.

Hillary sees herself as a representative of young people around the world, aspiring to use her music to highlight the global climate crisis. She believes that through education and awareness, we can all take action to protect our oceans and mountains and preserve the delicate balance of our planet’s ecosystem. Her commitment to environmental stewardship serves as an inspiration to her peers and reflects her dedication to making a positive impact in the world.
