Sim Mui (Elaine) Lim
Elaine Lim is an accomplished photographer with a deep passion for fine art and commercial photography. In 2009, Elaine co-founded White Room Studio, an award-winning portrait studio in Singapore that has garnered multiple prestigious accolades, including eight titles as Singapore Tatler’s ‘Best Portrait Photographer’.

An experienced scuba diver, Elaine has developed a strong affinity for marine diversity and life. Her daughter, Hillary O’Sullivan, shares her commitment to environmental conservation, and together they work to raise awareness through their artistic and personal endeavors.

In 2024, Elaine produced her first short documentary, “The Girl and Her Piano,” which chronicles the extraordinary journey of her daughter, Hillary who used piano music to advocate for climate resilience in the most remote highlands of Bhutan.

Elaine combines her love for photography with a commitment to environmental issues, creating impactful visual narratives that highlight the beauty of nature and the urgent need for its preservation. Through her work in both photography and film, Elaine aims to inspire action and foster a deeper connection to the planet.
